Harper’s Helpers

Harper’s Helpers

This year, our school community came together with Harper’s Helper’s and raised the bar for generosity. Harper’s Helpers collected over 550 toy items to share with children at Duke University Hospital. In addition to the toys, 10 dialysis/chemo shirts, 10 microwaveable heating pads, and 7 weighted blankets were purchased thanks to generous contributions and the extra effort of many hands.

Harper Ham, a sixth-grade student at BCA, began this collection as a service project in the second grade and has continued the tradition ever since. This has been the largest collection received thus far, and we hope it encourages everyone to continue supporting those in our community who need a little extra care.

These gifts go beyond just fun–they bring warmth, comfort, and a little light into difficult days for children facing medical challenges. Thank you to all who donated and supported this effort. Because of you, smiles and hope will make a real difference this Christmas season.
