1. Where is BCA located?
BCA is located in Kinston, North Carolina, at the corner of Hwy 258 North and Banks School Road. We are 2 miles North of Sale Auto Mall and the Wal-Mart Shopping Center. Our address is 1936 Banks School Road, Kinston, NC 29504. (map)
2. What grades does BCA have?
We have classes from 2 year old Daycare through 12th grade. Many of our grades have two classes per grade level.
3. What Curriculum and Textbooks does BCA use?
In the elementary, we use the ABeka Book and BJU Press Curriculum. In the junior high and high school, we use Apologia, BJU Press, and Positive Action for Christ.
4. What do your graduates do after graduation?
We have alumni who have completed programs from four-year public universities, Christian universities and colleges, community colleges and some have gone straight into the workforce. Our mission is to prepare our students to model Christ-like leadership to influence their homes, churches, and communities for Christ.
5. How many students does BCA have?
We currently have 292 students in K5 through 12th grade. In addition, we have 50 children in our Day Care program.
6. What does it cost to attend BCA?
Please see the attached financial rate sheet. We receive no money from the government so we rely upon our tuition and fees as well as fundraisers and gifts. (Financial Rate Sheet)
7. What “extras” does BCA offer its students?
We offer many extra classes and activities including: music, art, computer technology, library, drama, horticulture, teacher aide, Student Leadership institute, and a full athletic program.
8. To what associations does BCA belong?
BCA is a member of the North Carolina Christian School Association, the American Association of Christian Schools and the Richmond University computer technology partners.
9. What sports programs does BCA offer?
BCA competes in the North Carolina Christian School Association AA Coastal division. We also compete in the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association in football. We field teams in Boys’ Soccer, Girls’ JV & Varsity Volleyball, Boys’ Middle School, JV and Varsity Basketball, Girls’ Middle School and Varsity Basketball, JV and Varsity Football, Girls’ Softball, as well as Boys’ Middle School and Varsity Baseball, Golf, Cross-Country, and Shooting Team.
